The John Wick franchise has crossed the $1 billion mark in global box office earnings, thanks to the success of its latest installment, John Wick: Chapter 4.
Leading the pack is the most recent film, which has earned an impressive $425.3 million. It is followed by John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum with $326.7 million, Chapter 2 with $171.54 million, and the original 2014 crime thriller with $87.8 million. With its release in Japan still pending, the franchise continues to perform exceptionally well worldwide, as reported by Variety.
Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Joe Drake recognizes this achievement and attributes it to the outstanding work of director Chad Stahelski, lead actor Keanu Reeves, and the entire production team, who have consistently pushed the boundaries with each film.
Joe Drake stated, “This milestone is a testament to the incredible work of Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves, alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, who have strived to surpass themselves with every successive film in this franchise. We are immensely grateful to moviegoers around the world for bringing us to this remarkable accomplishment.”
Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick: Chapter 4 continues the saga of the titular assassin as he faces off against the formidable High Table organization.
